Author's Notes: I wrote this a while ago, and just realized I didn't have it up here. I haven't written anything new in a while, but I've been working on a couple of things, and there should be something new up pretty soon. I hope you enjoy this little Neville drabble in the meantime.
TransplantingNeville's hands were dirty. Black globes burrowed under his nails and against his cuticles, but he took no note of it. He was entranced by the repetition of his task.
Make the hole, place the juvenile green, pat it in.
Hole, place, pat...
Hole, place, pat...
Some would be bored, but to Neville, it was soothing. The dirt, swollen and wet was heavy and cold in his hands. The smell, thick. The air was pressing in around him, beads of sweat climbed down his forehead.
His fingers were cold and dirty and wet. He didn't care. He loved his greenhouse.
